GVP Ceramic Hair Straightener

Love the Chi hair straightener but can't afford it? I was in the same boat! My sister in law kept telling me about this "awesome" GVP straightener she got, but I didn't try it for a while.  In my mind, they're all alike and mine worked just fine.

Until one day, when mine was still packed away..hers was out and hot, so I asked to use it.  I don't even know where to begin on how amazing it was.  When I finished straightening my hair, not only did my hair feel softer than it ever had, but it was stick straight!  My former straightener would straighten my hair, but it took several swipes over the same strand, and it was just something I had come accustomed to. One swipe with this GVP was all that was needed on each strand.  This thing gets up to 470 degrees!  It actually advertises that it locks in color as well...I currently have lowlights and highlights, and it seems to hold true..my color is lookin' pretty good!

The GVP is a generic of the Chi, and I'm definitely impressed with it. Upon using it, I ended up going to Sally's Hair Supply in Campbellsville and bought my own.  If you'd like to check it out, I will end the post with the link to the page. In the meantime, here's the details provided:

  • Adjustable Automatic Temperature Settings
  • Automatic Safety Shut Off after 60 minutes
  • Dual Voltage for worldwide use
  • Tangle-free 9-ft. swivel cord
  • 29 Heat settings (160°F to 450°F)

  • The versatile GVP Auto Digital Ceramic Flat Iron has an ergonomic design and curved edge 1" plates. This iron creates silky smooth hair instantly and eliminates frizz while straightening, styling, and volumizing. A powerful heating element and 29 heat settings gives you the power to create the style of your dreams.

The GVP Auto Digital Ceramic Flat Iron uses Far Infrared Ceramic plates that maintain a constant, even temperature, eliminating hot spots that can cause damage and breakage to delicate hair strands. This unique ceramic technology also produces negative ions that seal the cuticle, repel humidity, and lock in hair color to help resist fading while smoothing and straightening.

Features include an adjustable temperature range from 160°F to 450°F. Dual Ceramic PTC Heaters allow for instant heat up and recovery. The lightweight, ergonomic design is squeeze sensitive to help style hair with minimal tension with no pulling or tugging.

The GVP Story: Generic Value Products brand was formed because a group of experienced beauty professionals knew they could produce at "Popular Prices" a product as good as the higher priced, quality name brands.
