New Favorite: Elizabeth Arden!

By no means am I saying the above picture is a good or flattering one, HOWEVER...I am LOVING my new Elizabeth Arden makeup! I actually was prowling for Merle Norman, Lancome, or Estee Lauder makeup, but where I was shopping didn't carry Merle Norman-my first choice.  As I started to browse other brands, I decided to ask if I could get some help finding my color. I want my makeup to be subtle, but if I'm going to go to the trouble of putting it on..I want you to be able to tell I've got it on.  I also have a red tone to my skin and makeup just gives me a nice balance.

The lady that helped me was an Elizabeth Arden saleslady. I told her that I like that "cake-y makeup"..the foundation that comes with a sponge and goes from press to powder.  She got me a Gentle Beige compact and started putting some on. LOVED how lightweight it was. You can't even tell you're wearing it. It's not thick at all, like a lot of the "cake-y" kind (thus the name).  It even has a pleasant smell.  I instantly fell in love with it and there's no way that I'll be using anything else!

I was able to get this make up for $28, but that great price may just be because I'm on a military base. I'm going to compare that later and if that's really good savings, I'm going to stock up before heading home!  But not only did I get this great deal, but a free gift as well!  A super cute red and hot pink flowered makeup bag (not the cheap-o ones either), full of day and night face cream, which i have yet to try...bronzer (LOVE), mascara (LOVE), and "Watermelon" lipstick.  (MAJOR LOVE)

Watermelon is NOT a shade I would've picked out on my own, but it was free, and matched a dress I recently got, so I gave it a shot.  It goes on smooth..when you rub your lips together, it feels a tad gritty, but after a second that feeling goes away.  It was such a pretty shade, matches everything, and stays on really well.  Feels very light and I don't feel like everytime I drink from a soda can that it's completely wiped off.  Amazing stuff!

Anyway, that's my most recent favorite. I should so get paid for this!

UltraSheer Concealer

Almost forgot about this little goody! This stuff was amazing! It comes as a duo, with 2 different shades..light and medium (great combo for my winter/summer shades)...so far, I've used it to put underneath my eyes after a night of restlessness...and to cover up a friend's zit (it completely looked like it vanished!). GREAT product, and I have never been one to use concealer.  I'd strongly recommend this!

Aveeno Body Wash

What can I say, this was an awesome voxbox! I LOVED the aveeno body wash! I had used it on Kiah when she was a baby and liked it..but I used this sample on myself and was blown away at how soft it made my skin! It smelled good without smelling perfum-ish.  Just a good, clean smell.  I definitely plan on buying more of this...today actually!

Sweet Pea Body Spray

Another favorite in my voxbox.  This baby wasn't just sample size..it was a FULL SIZE bottle from bath and body works!!  Sweet Pea is a classic smell...it never gets old!  I love the sweet, floral smell that is subtle and not overpowering.  Great to spray on your body after a shower..the scent will last for hours, if not all day!  :)

Chapstick LipShield 365 with spf 50+

My absolute favorite item in my voxbox! Went on so smooth, smelled (and tasted! haha!) good, and spf was just a bonus!  It left just a tad of white on your lips, but if you take your finger and massage it in, it goes away :)  Believe me, its a small price to pay for such an awesome product!  Even when the product had went away as the day wore on..my lips continued to stay just as smooth as when I first put it on!

Kiah, who is obsessed with chapstick, rolled it completely out of the tube and rubbed it all over her body. I was pretty upset at the loss!  I searched the local K-mart and couldn't find it at the time, but my next destinations are walmart, rite-aid, and walgreens. 

Influenster Beauty Voxbox!

I have been a horrible blogger, I know. I won't even begin describing what all has been going on, but it's been BUSY.  It's a shame that I've taken so long to share this, but my spring beauty voxbox from Influenster was AMAZING!  I love getting all these wonderful products to try out and share with my friends...I will, hopefully (slowly but surely) be able to tell you about some of my favorite products throughout the day.

 Sweet pea body spray, nail stickers, aveeno body wash, sheercover concealer, fruit bar, spf 50 chapstick, and dr scholls ball of foot cushion! Happy mothers day to meeee!
